There’s been a trend at HEB recently that Jenn and I have seen. When we buy chicken, there is usually a slab or a chunk of fat roller up underneath the chicken pieces so you can’t see it when purchasing.

So yesterday Jenn got 3lbs of (pre-seasoned) chicken. A quarter of a pound (4.5 ounces to be exact) of that was just chunks of fat. Now the price of this chicken was only $1.08/ pound. So we likely payed about $0.30 for it. Not much, but it’s rather the point of it. And it should be noted.
