There is an issue when using SimpleScripts to update Roundcube in which case, after the upgrade you suddenly have a server input field appear at login. Not sure exactly what happens, but from the new look of Roundcube, it looks like there are some significant changes under the hood that just don’t quite convert the settings over to the new installation.

The Fix:

SFTP (or FTP) into your installation. In the root find the folder labeled “config” Open the folder up and you will find a file called “main.inc.php”. Download this file and open in you favorite html editor. THe line you are looking should be on line 75:

$rcmail_config[‘default_host’] = ”;

In between the single quotes put: mail.domain.com

Of couse replace ‘domain.com’ with the actual domain the installation is on.

So it should look something like this:

$rcmail_config[‘default_host’] = ‘mail.domain.com’;

Save this file & upload this back to the server (Confirm overwriting the file). And you should be good to go!
