Back in (late) December 2013 I planted some baby Romaine lettuce in my my above-ground planter. For the most part, they barely came up out of the ground, then the flowering part shot straight up (like 18 inches of so) and flowered, and I assume, went to seed.
Last month Jenn noticed some leafy greens in the planter (I hadn’t planted anything for the winter) and I figured they were just weeds popping up. But low & behold, it seems they are in fact little lettuces popping up. Hell, they are doing better (and larger) than last year when I tried growing them & I didn’t have to do a damn thing! Haha!
